Taxi fare in Muzaffarnagar explained: ₹/km, round trips and the ₹2,200 local minimum
How MSCars calculates every fare in Muzaffarnagar — rate per km by car, why every trip is a round trip, when the ₹2,200 local minimum applies, and worked examples for Meerut, Haridwar and Delhi.
"Bhaiya, kitna lagega?" is the first question anyone asks before a cab trip. At MSCars we want the answer to be simple enough to work out yourself. Here is exactly how our fares work in Muzaffarnagar, with real examples.
Step 1: pick a car, get a rate per kilometre
| Cab | Seats | Rate |
|---|---|---|
| WagonR | 4 | ₹9/km |
| Swift | 4 | ₹10/km |
| Baleno | 4 | ₹11/km |
| Swift Dzire | 4 | ₹12/km |
| Hyundai Aura | 4 | ₹13/km |
| Ertiga | 6 | ₹16/km |
| Innova Crysta | 7 | ₹20/km |
Step 2: every trip is a round trip
All MSCars bookings are round trips — the driver takes you there, waits, and brings you back. So the distance we charge is the one-way road distance × 2. The booking map calculates the one-way distance from the actual road route, not a straight line.
Step 3: multiply
Fare = rate per km × round-trip km. GST is included.
Step 4: the local minimum
Short trips still take a driver's whole morning or afternoon. So if the round trip is under 200 km and the metered amount comes to less than ₹2,200, the fare is ₹2,200. The booking screen labels it clearly when the minimum applies.
Worked examples
Muzaffarnagar to Meerut (about 55 km one way)
- Round trip: 110 km — under 200 km, so the local rule applies.
- WagonR: 110 × ₹9 = ₹990 → ₹2,200 (minimum).
- Innova Crysta: 110 × ₹20 = ₹2,200.
Muzaffarnagar to Haridwar (about 90 km one way)
- Round trip: 180 km — still local.
- Swift Dzire: 180 × ₹12 = ₹2,160 → ₹2,200.
- Ertiga: 180 × ₹16 = ₹2,880.
Muzaffarnagar to Delhi (about 125 km one way)
- Round trip: 250 km — over 200 km, so no minimum; you pay only per km.
- WagonR: 250 × ₹9 = ₹2,250.
- Swift Dzire: 250 × ₹12 = ₹3,000.
- Innova Crysta: 250 × ₹20 = ₹5,000.
What is not in the ₹/km rate?
Highway tolls, parking and any state entry charges (for example when entering Uttarakhand) are not part of the per-km rate. They are confirmed with you before the trip so nothing comes as a surprise.
Is there surge pricing?
No. The rate per km is the same at 3 am, on a rainy evening, or on a festival day. If a diversion makes the road longer, the fare follows the real distance — but the rate itself does not change.
Why a round trip and not one-way?
Most trips from Muzaffarnagar — Delhi hospital visits, Haridwar, Meerut court dates — are same-day return trips anyway. Pricing them as a round trip with waiting included means you are not paying a second "return" fare or bargaining with a driver at the other end.
